Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. Biles is thought of to be among the best gymnasts. Biles was the first female gymnast in history to have won four gold medals during only one Games. Then, in Rio de Janeiro, she became the first female to win consecutive World All-around Titles (2013-15). Biles is from Spring Texas in the Houston metro area, where she and her sister Adria was adopted by grandparents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone was introduced to the sport of gymnastics through her daycare teacher Aimee Borman as she was aged six. She was a student at Bannon's Gymnastix for a total of 11 years. Biles won a gold in the floor exercise, and also a bronze in vault during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the top level of competing in 2011. Two years later, she took the lead in her sport. The thing that set Biles apart was the consistency of her vibrant personality as well as the intense level of effort she integrated into her routines at all four events--vault uneven bars balance beam and floor exercise.
