Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered to be among the best athletes. Biles grew up in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area following the time she and her sister Adria had been adopted by grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone discovered her love for gymnastics at age six during school field trips to Bannon's Gymnastix where she was a regular for 11 years under coaching of Aimee Boorman. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor exercise as well as a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite level of gymnastics in the year 2011. Her dominance in the sport came just two years later. Biles's consistency, her exuberant nature and high degree of challenge in her four events -- vault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercises and floor exercises -- have set her aside.
